Aliens have definitely been to Earth and could be back soon

S. Somanath, the chairman of India's ISRO, recently shared his thoughts on the existence of extraterrestrial life during a conversation on The Ranveer Show podcast. Somanath expressed a firm belief that aliens exist somewhere in the universe, saying, "Absolutely, without a doubt. My conscience tells me yes, although I have no proof." Despite the lack of concrete evidence, Somanath’s confidence in the existence of other life forms stems from his role as a prominent figure in space exploration and his understanding of the vastness of the cosmos.

Somanath elaborated on the potential for advanced extraterrestrial civilizations, suggesting that if they are ahead of us in technology by even a few thousand years, they might already be visiting Earth. He likened our planet to a zoo, with humans as the observed species, a concept that was brought up by the podcast host, Ranveer Allahbadia.

However, while Somanath is intrigued by the idea of extraterrestrial life, he’s not eager to meet any intelligent aliens soon. He pointed out the dangers of contact between different life forms, noting that life on Earth is interconnected and evolved from a common ancestor. If aliens developed under entirely different conditions, their biological makeup could be hazardous to us—or ours to them. The potential for catastrophic consequences from such a meeting is something Somanath highlighted as a significant concern.

Interestingly, discussions about aliens aren't just limited to podcasts for ISRO officials. Somanath mentioned that the topic often comes up during casual conversations among colleagues, especially in the evenings. The fascination with the possibility of life beyond Earth is clearly a shared interest within the organization.
